Guangzhou Central Axis Park Self-cleaning weather-resistant ETFE cushion-A new dynamic and modern light structure

Designed to capture the imagination, this lightweight and luminous structure rises gently above the park, offering a soft, glowing presence whether under the sun or beneath the stars. Its elegant form reflects a careful balance of aesthetics and advanced engineering, providing both visual delight and functional comfort.

The air cushion is constructed using a sophisticated four-layer ETFE film system. 

Upper layers- 250 micron printed film + 200 micron transparent film

Lower layers- 250 micron matted film + 200 micron transparent film

This design ensures excellent light diffusion, thermal performance, and visual interest throughout the day.

Completed in November 2025 by the Canobbio Team, this project demonstrates a thoughtful integration of material innovation and environmental harmony. 

It offers visitors a unique experience—a place to pause, observe, and enjoy the subtle interplay of nature, light, and lightweight architecture.
