Tensile membrane structure connection and details


1. The connection details of the tensile structure system comprises  connection node between fabric and fabric.membrane surface and a support structure . According to the different support systems, it can be divided into membrane surface and flexible support structure details and membrane surface and rigid support structure one. According to the location, it can be divided into intermediate nodes and boundary nodes.


2. the connection structure design of the membrane structure architecture should consider the shape, load, manufacturing, installation and other conditions of the structure, so that the structure is safe, reliable, ensure the transmission of force, and can adapt to possible displacement and rotation.


3. The assumptions made on the nodes during shape design and load analysis should be consistent with the actual construction. The simplification of the calculations should be considered when designing and checking the nodes.


4, the detail design should consider the impact of structural installation bias.


5. The joint between the membrane surface and the supporting structure must have sufficient strength and rigidity, and must not be damaged before the connected member and the membrane surface, nor should it have deformation that affects the mechanical properties.


6. The joint of the diaphragm should be kept highly watertight. It should be tested for peeling resistance and should be protected from fabric abrasion,Tearing. The metal parts at the joint should be protected against corrosion. The connection structure should take full account of the effects of creep of the membrane.
